Completed 2010The Workforce Education Center was constructed on the Grandview Campus of Yakima Valley College in the location of a former grocery store. The project has significantly increased the size of the Campus as well as enhancing Grandview’s downtown. The facility houses the Allied Health Program, the Vineyard and Winery Technology Program as well as an Event Center and general classrooms.
The Allied Health Program instructional spaces include an interactive lab that provides specially designed teaching environments for pharmacy technology, medical billing and coding, medical assisting, and surgical technology to name a few.
The Vineyard and Winery Technology Program is supported by instructional spaces including a Teaching Winery, Laboratory, Barrel Storage Room, Crush Pad and Tasting Room. The facility also houses two incubator spaces which the College leases to start up wineries which in turn can receive assistance from program staff.
