The Fire Training Facility for the Yakima Fire Department is composed of three elements. The multi-story Training Tower, the surrounding Drill Grounds, and the classroom, with support services, located within Fire Station 95.

The Fire Training Tower has seven distinct levels including half-floors and a basement. The varying levels provide for a multitude of training opportunities with features such as:

• enclosed areas accessible by manholes,
• crawlspace-type accesses,
• fixed and moveable mazes,
• multiple trussed attic spaces and balconies,
• a burn room with an observation / control room
