Downtown Yakima Branch: Yakima Federal Savings & Loan

The Yakima Federal Savings & Loan Downtown Branch is the founding branch and serves as the corporate office. The most recent series of project started with the replacement of the teller line in 2013, progressed to the replacement of flooring and repainting in 2017 and finished with the recladding of the south elevation in 2018. The south elevation replacement was a dramatic upgrade which included the application of a unified material package transforming the aging, unremarkable building entry into a façade fitting the corporate office/branch. The final element of this project was the replacement of the Yakima Avenue sign with a handmade glass mosaic sign in the character of the original sign, keeping the historic flavor of the north elevation of the building.
