Yakima Fire Department - Training Tower

The Fire Training Facility for the Yakima Fire Department is composed of three elements.  The multi-story Training Tower, the surrounding Drill Grounds, and the Classroom / support services located within Fire Station No. 95.

The Fire Training Tower has seven distinct levels including half-floors and a basement.  The varying levels provide for a multitude of training opportunities with features such as enclosed areas accessible by manholes and crawlspace-type accesses, fixed and moveable mazes, a Ground Floor burn room with an observation / control room, a Second Floor space designed to accommodate a second burn unit in the future.  The building also features multiple trussed attic spaces and balconies as well as a variety of roof slopes.
